Hi guys!

How are ya doin?? Still having a rough time?  I understand. You’re tired to begin with, and blowing a lead to end up playing 11 innings to lose by one? Well that just sucks. And I understand that. But you know what? Baseball is your job. And I’m pretty sure you enjoy your job more than the majority of us out here. I mean, do YOU look forward to your tumblr breaks because making one more god-awful cold call will drive you to shoot yourself in the foot? No. You get up and get to play the game you LOVE. And ALLEGEDLY the game at which you excel.

So. Here’s the thing. Tough couple breaks. But, uh, you’re even further behind than you were before… And, need I remind you that I live in YANKEE COUNTRY and I HAVE A LOT OF MONEY RIDING ON YOU HAVING A BETTER SEASON THAN THEY. Incidentally, I also have other side bets that involve 1) posting of pictures of the loser on facebook wearing the other team’s attire and 2) pouring a beer over the loser’s head (obviously chosen by a Yankee fan…).  Neither of which I thought I would have to do, but currently, I’m pretty damn happy beer is good for hair…AHEM.

But you’re my boys. And I love you. And I have the utmost faith in you. Sometimes. So let’s put on our season long rally caps, tuck in our tampon strings, and FREAKING PLAY BALL.

Chin up boys. No seriously, I think you might not be watching the ball…so like, let’s try that and see how we improve, k?

I would also like to thank the Sox for playing in a fashion that has caused me to once again break out the cigarettes after their games. It’s been a few years & I appreciated the break. However, it would be great if the team started looking like it does not go into cruise control at crucial moments of games. Hit the cutoff man, don’t try and score from first with no outs, and most importantly if you play shortstop, remember the FUCKIN’ FIRST BASEMAN DOESN’T SIT IN THE STANDS.
